Yes yes yes! FUN is hands down the best of the year. Everyone says I think so because they're "new to the scene." Yeah okay, but they're also exactly what we need these days, a fresh new sound, pure innocent fun and great lyrics. I became an instant fan after two songs.

I don't agree with Chris Brown being the least welcomed comeback though. I don't approve of what he did to RiRi, but I do enjoy his music. As he's not a personal friend, I tend to look at the two separately. For instance, if you're a musician AND you're my BFF, then you go out and beat someone, I'd drop you in an instant because your actions reflect on me. I expect my friends to behave in a certain fashion. What do I expect from Chris B? Just music, and he's given me some good stuff to listen to.

Lincoln...hmm...my only issue with it is that I'm positive that a couple years from now, many of the idiotic youth of today will take it as fact. Ugh. So sad.

..............Seth is hosting the Oscars? What? Oh goodness...here comes the train. Watch it burn.

ZIVA as the best actress in a drama? Hmmm.....I guess she's pretty good. I don't have anyone else in mind but I'm not 100% impressed with her either. Maybe what's her face from Law & Order SVU? Liv.

High five on Fun.!

A couple o' notes on the other things - I feel that whenever someone is beaten by another person, ESPECIALLY male on female violence, it is all our problems. There is an infinite amount of R&B artists who are just as catchy as Chris Brown, and they sure as hell don't beat women. Besides, Chris doesn't write much of his own music, so it's just as far to say that his songs belong to all these other songwriters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortune_%28album%29).

And yeah, I know some of my TV noms seem copouts, as I haven't picked up many new or different shows lately, as I don't get cable.

Seeing as there are basically thousands of artists out there, I'm sure there are tons out there just as catchy, if not more than, Chris Brown. I just haven't heard any on the radio that caught my attention enough to look further in to them. If I chose my artists by who wrote their own music...I think I'd have a very short list. I chose them by what catches my ear. Whether they wrote the music themselves doesn't matter to me much because before anything, it's the voice over lyrics that gets me.

I look at male on female violence in the same way I look at female on male violence. It's all wrong. If I hated on Chris Brown for all the drama he caused not related to his music, then I'd have to hate RiRi and a million other artists for the same reason. I don't look up to these people as role models. I don't aim to be like them. I only tune in to them for good tunes.

Actually, I can't say I support too many artists because I don't really buy CDs these day anyway. I just catch them on the radio.

I hear ya! These days it's like I only stream NCIS, Law & Order, and House of Payne.

I love the Fun. album. A lot of their lyrics just seem to fit. Carry On and Some Night have both given me a lot of comfort this year.

Call Me Maybe was okay and then it got overplayed and overused as a joke.

How dare Mumford and Sons make a profit! That's hipster blasphemy!

Fiona Apple is usually a good choice.

I didn't know Queens of the Stone Age was coming back! That's great!

Cabin in the Woods was a lot of fun. Joss Whedon has yet to disappoint me.

Ugh, so much agreement on Chris Brown. I really don't understand any justifications for liking the man/contributing to his success in any way.

Channing Tatum is definitely a great actor. I love 21 Jump Street *and* Magic Mike. Quite intrigued to see what that guy gets up to next!

Also, The Mindy Project is really fun! I've been seeing Chris Messina in small film roles for a looong time - glad to see him with something steady and big going on.

The thing that sickens me the most is how (pardon the pun) unapologetic he's been. There was a very irate Spinner article saying that people are being harder on Chris than famous white women beaters such as John Lennon and Vince Neil, but they made sincere public apologies and didn't do it again. I don't care if Chris were purple with orange stripes - his behavior is repulsive. I hope it doesn't result in Rihanna getting beaten again. :(
