Here's an article that's dear to my heart—it's all about pen palling and postcard collecting! I talk about Postcrossing and my mini-adventure at a postcard show this past weekend. Hope you all enjoy. :)

I keep meaning to get back into Postcrossing...since I bought so many post cards when I was doing it a few years ago and I want to send more out...lol

I like writing and receiving letters from people but the cost of postage has got ridiculous here. I've had to stop sending out birthday cards because I just can't afford it, which makes me sad.

It used to be that the price of overseas post depended on where it was going as well as the weight. So it was cheaper to send things to Germany, than the US. But now, it's all the same price whether it's Germany or the US. It cost me £3 ($4) a few months ago to send a card to Germany which is double what it was last year. Three or four cards at that price and I'm looking at over £10 ($13.50) and that's a lot of money.

I think this is such a wholesome hobby! And writing things out by hand can be so enjoyable.
